Important Notice: 4 major tax changes for 2013. 

  • Change 1: The increase to the Medical deduction floor from 7.5% to 10% of AGI, requiring careful planning and timing of medical expenses as well as more use of fringe benefits.
  • Change 2: The dramatic reduction in Flex Spending Account limits to $2,500.
  • Change 3: The new .9% Medicare surtax on earned income and
  • Change 4: The new 3.8% surtax on unearned income.
